Positive pressure moisture displacement

After extensive research in the USA, Canada and within the UK Fire Service, PPMDS has been built and developed by DRYRIGHT for DRYRIGHT. We have engineered a cost-effective system which runs on environmentally safe fuel: biodiesel, agricultural diesel or LPG. By eliminating the need for chemical and microbiocide solutions, mould, bacteria and pathogens are dealt with by appropriate levels of heat with virtually no environmental impact.

PPMDS is a unique system that transfers its full heat and drying capability into the building. It is 25% more effective than other drying systems in its class. As PPMDS delivers its full heat capability into a structure, it's controlled by a remote thermostatic system.

This allows the temperature to be raised or lowered, giving even cover of a controlled hot or warm air environment.

The DRYRIGHT Data Logger has been specially developed to allow real time remote monitoring of the drying process. It can send data and alarm condition reports by email and SMS text messages.

The positive pressurisation of the structure means that no problems inherent in the property or adjacent premises will hinder the drying process. The benefits of PPMDS include less reinstatement, lower business disruption, and minimal hotel and alternative business reallocation costs.

Early deployment of PPMDS can prevent further secondary damage to the building, stock and contents through hygroscopic materials absorbing high relative humidity and capillary action from other sources.

The Positive Pressure Moisture Displacement System results in dramatically reduced costs for virtually all drying and heating requirements. It gives comprehensive monitoring facilities, more precise control of operating parameters and significantly better results.

Drying
Drying a structure in the quickest time consistent with effectual results is paramount to keeping a company in business. The many door openings and corridors usually found in large buildings can pose problems in that heat can escape and moisture can get in. This is not the case when using PPMDS. Controlled pressurisation minimises heat loss and entry of further moisture, giving faster and more efficient drying. Areas with low insulation are heated evenly. This reduces stress on materials, preventing the cracking and shrinkage caused by other systems.

Temporary heating
In many cases of flooding and fire, breakdown of existing heating systems due to direct damage or power interruption can bring a business to a standstill. PPMDS offers a temporary replacement for building heating, allowing staff to work in a controlled environment during salvage operations, implementing contingency plans and keeping the business running.

Climate control
The destruction caused by flooding and fire isn't the end of the problem. The water and physical damage caused during firefighting operations add to the difficulties. When the walls and roof of a building are breached, adverse weather will cause secondary damage to the structure and contents in the form of rust, absorption, mechanical and electrical failure. Rapid deployment of PPMDS will help reduce humidity and safeguard stock, machinery, office equipment, archives and other property.

In old buildings, timbers which have been dry for many years can absorb twice as much moisture. High heat levels can expand the timber, resulting in splitting and warping. The controlled heat offered by PPMDS is ideal for drying out historically important buildings.



A large volume of moving hot or warm air is critical to drying a building evenly. DRYRIGHT PPMDS delivers 12,500 cubic metres of controlled processed air per hour. Our nearest rival can only achieve 7,800 cubic metres per hour - almost 40% lower.
